About Our Festivals

Welcome to Wallington, Crawley & Sussex dance festivals

​

The festival was founded in 2006 and started off as a very small one day festival with children from local dance schools. 

​

Today the festival has now grown to 3 separate venues over 12-14 days and around 10-15 schools take part each year as far afield as Newhaven and Essex.

​

The ethos behind the festival has always been inclusive to all children, whatever their standard, and we are always happy to welcome new children and schools, especially if you are new to festivals.

​

In 2015 the festival was given provisional membership to the British and International Federation of Festivals, and then in 2016 full membership which we were very proud of.

​

In 2017 we were so over subscribed that it was decided to no longer keep the British Federation status and to make all 3 festivals our own brand, incorporating the WCS South of England Championships.
