WCS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023

The WCS South East Of England championships started in 2018 with great success.

Any dancer gaining 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in certain sections will be asked if they would like to go through to our grand finals on Sunday 19th November 2023

This competition will result in the winners being crowned with the title of WCS champion of 2023.

RULES OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS:

* All dancers must live the the South East of England
* All dancers must solely attend the dancing school that entered them for the festival
* Any dancer receiving a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in any ballet, tap, modern, lyrical, contemporary, disco  or song & dance section will be eligible to enter the grand finals.
* These will then be split into 3 age groups (juniors age 7-10, intermediates age 11-14 years and seniors age 15-18 years. The dancers date of birth will be taken from the date of the finals - this being November 19th 2023.
* The age groups are then split into 5 categories - ballet, tap, Modern, song & dance & Freestyle. Modern can include modern, lyrical or contemporary - however if a dancer qualifies in more than one section they can only choose one dance to perform in this section. Freestyle can include disco or commercial - and again if a dancer qualifies in more than one section they can only choose one dance to perform in this section. 
* All dancers must enter by the end of the festival they qualify at. The cost will be £15 per dance. 
* All finalist will receive a certificate, the top 3 places will get a trophy and the winner will receive a sash and title.

At the very end of the morning solo session, all senior winners from all 5 sections will re dance to see who will become champion of champions. There is then a prize for this dancer.
